She made me do it...

As I sit here in my co-op class, and feel overwhelmed at the lack of opportunities, I'm pretending to "network"...

I NEED A JOB!

Consider this a plea, if anyone has any leads on Human Resources jobs, please let me know.

Thank you,

Agata

All my Peas in their Pods

It just so happens that I have two Peas and two pods.

The first P is Porter, a 9 month old brownish-grey tabby. His mommy, Pumpkin, is a black cat with the white bowtie; Porter his one too. He enjoys being carried, purring and killing spiders. His favourite colour is yellow. His best friend is anyone who knows how to open the magical door which grants access to the little green bag that contains treats. He is rather special because he has seven toes on one foot and six on all the others - Porter is a Hemmingway cat.

Pixelle is my other P. She's a two and half year old, registered
Rheinland Pfalz-Saar (sounds special eh?). This means she has a brand on her left side of her rump and that she has a registered name: Fotogenic. She lives up to that name: loves attention and tried to eat cameras (blackberries, phones, cameras, she attempts to eat the all). She likes spending all day outside, running around with Mommy (me), and spitting water at people. Her favourite colours are green and burgundy. Her daddy (see picture below) was quite the competitor in his younger years.

Mary, Merry, Marry

That’s right, everyone is getting married, or at least engaged.
Congratulations to everyone!
Mother Nature messed up the weather, but the birds and the bees are stronger than she is.

This has to be my favourite lovey-dovey poem:

How Do I Love Thee?
by Elizabeth Barrett Browning.

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of every day's
Most quiet need, by sun and candlelight.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

Everyone is expecting something cynical, and I turn to Goethe at a time like this:
"Love is an ideal thing, marriage a real thing."

… May that never turn out to be the truth

Another magical moment caught in digital...

Sure, Apple came out with a new phone, but mine is just as good. Has i-tunes, has a camera and has (somewhere) the ability for me to write notes.

And it’s a good thing I have it with me - I can capture moments like these:

Just to clarify, that is a Toyota Solara, top down, with a HUGE box in it... who needs a truck anyway?

We don't need no education...

Pink Flolyd was wrong. It turns out that we do.
In the spirit of proving the band wrong, I have gone back to school. We'll see if anything comes of the several thousand dollars spent, stress, lack of sleep and general disgust with belonging to another brainwashing institution leads to anything other than stress, lack of sleep and general disgust with brain washing institutions.

The first day had a rather exciting start… as we’re getting off the highway, an 18 wheeler’s refrigeration system has blown and it had white smoke coming out of it. I got excited because I thought it might blow up or something exciting, however it did nothing. That was the climax of the day, and so far, the week.

In other news, Webster words (circa 2000) are coming back in style: I will be posting the list, once found, and they will be back in circulation.

Phonera (that's a phone-camera)

Now I know why I never read instructions...
I wanted to see if I could upload some of the pictures from my phone to my computer and of course the 100+ page insturction manual did not have room for such information. But I'm not as dumb as I look, I found my own way to do it.
